Kinesiology offers a gentle and non-invasive approach to anyone suffering trauma, pain, chronic issues and, minor health ailments which conventional treatment has been unable to resolve successfully.
There is a place for unconventional Energy-based treatment alongside conventional health systems as the human being is a complex entity, existing in a Mind space, a Physical form and an Energetic template.
Kinesiology encompasses a broad range of energy balancing tools and protocols to enhance the flow of energy, remove blockages, and release stagnant energy.
Using specific knowledge of acupressure points, nutrition, meridian flow and stress release, Kinesiology addresses structural, electrical, bio-chemical, and physiological imbalances. This has a positive impact on mental health and physical health. Importantly, this re-balancing of the complex being, enhances success on every level of existence.
Kinesiology makes use of Muscle testing as a tool for direct communication with our innate intelligence.
I have helped clients who have needed aid with many different challenges, from bunions and bone spurs to passing a drivers licence and overcoming anxiety. Kinesiology can strengthen mental and physical energy to enhance success in sport, work, academic study and even relationship challenges.
At the end of a session, most people experience the renewed sense of energy as a 'sense of lightness'. There is a sense of relaxation in the body as well as a great reservoir of strength in the mind and emotions.
I am honoured to be trained in this amazing method of releasing stagnant and negative energy. Kinesiology treatments/sessions (balances) create a gentle yet noticeable flow of pure vibrant personal energy which stimulates an internal sense of poise and well-being.

I am honoured to be trained in this amazing method of releasing stagnant and negative energy. Kinesiology treatments/sessions (balances) create a gentle yet noticeable flow of pure vibrant personal energy which stimulates an internal sense of poise and well-being.
I discovered Kinesiology and began this journey of finding myself, through the experience (and subsequent study) of Shiatsu massage. Shiatsu is wonderfully healing and nurturing although intensely painful at certain pressure points. The part I enjoyed most about Shiatsu massage was the silence process and the wonderful feeling of well-being afterwards.
At that time I struggled with 'emotional vocabulary' and was deeply averse to discussing any aspect of my personal pain, trauma and internal anger.
Imagine my resistance when I began my Kinesiology journey and found that my deepest long-held trauma, pain and resentment was identified within a few minutes! And, I was asked to verbalise it in detail! To be frank, I was anxious and somewhat speechless as I lacked the vocabulary to accurately and fully explain the intensely painful old memories and feelings that I had bottled up for decades.
Slowly but surely and, with the support of my classmates and experienced teachers, the words came out, stumbling, erratic, unedited, and unclear but it all came out, compassionately drawn out of my body, mind, and reservoir of pain and trauma! Although extremely difficult, it became easier each time, to find the right words. The sense of relief after each balance was profound and, en-lightening (as in, feeling lighter).
Through this process I learned a lot about myself, my younger self, my inner child, my responsible adult and, my actions, reactions, choices and attitudes. I learned a bit of emotional vocabulary, a lot about resentment, guilt and self-sabotage and I grew immesensely in forgiveness and compassion.
As my knowledge, skills and self development progressed, I found a new sense of Self and a wonder-filled awareness of the Divine inter-connectedness of all things. This awareness has expanded to an unshakeable sense of peace within, and profound gratitude for all my Life experiences, positive and negative.
I offer kinesiology as a pillar of support in the journey of becoming more response-able for our own unique healed wholeness (wholeness being a vibrant sense of inner awareness and meaning).
I invite you to make contact and consider adding kinesiology balances to your wellness routine.
Kinesiology began way back in the late 1800's in Sweden.
A Swedish poet named Pehr Henrik Ling (1776-1839) is credited with the creation of the Swedish Gymnastics system of physical education. His passion for movement based rehabilitation stemmed from his own challenges with gout which affected his abilities as a Fencing teacher.
He established a system to relieve illness and rehabilitate the body by adapting many exercises from the Danish Gymnastics programme of exercises. He invented wall bars, beams and the box horse apparatus to support the range of physical exercises. He also created a formal curriculum which included the study of anatomy and physiology and in
1813, the Swedish government formally appointed him to establish the Royal Central Institute of Gymnastics.
In 1854, Swedish therapist, Professor Carl August Georgii, who studied under Pehr Ling, coined the term Kinesiology.
This formalised system of Swedish massage and physical movement is the foundation of Kinesiology as we know it today.
Many universities offer courses based on this original concept. In the field of Complementary and Holistic Therapy, Kinesiology has been greatly expanded upon by eminent osteopaths and chiropractors after it was introduced to America by Baron Nils Posse.
It would appear that the cornerstone of modern holistic Kinesiology, Muscle Testing, can be attributed to Dr R.W. Lovett, an orthopedic surgeon. Dr Lovett made good use of this technique, assessing nervous system damage in his patients in the early 1930's.
Henry and Florence Kendall further developed muscle testing and published Muscles: Testing and Function in 1949.
In the 1960's, Dr George Goodheart, an American chiropractor, contributed a great deal of research based on his effective use of muscle testing to identify links between organs, organ systems, muscles, and meridians. His work became known as Applied Kinesiology and it was reserved for professional medical practitioners.
Some years later, Dr John Thie and his wife Carrie, developed the well-known Touch for Health programme for lay people (non-medically qualified), bringing the gifts of kinesiology to a much wider audience.
Other eminent medical professionals and kinesiologists over the years have contributed tremendously to the growth of Kinesiology to develop this broad system which positively affects the autonomic nervous system towards homestasis, which results in a higher level of health and vitality.
Today there are many different schools or branches of Kinesiology and one can rest assured that all have something beneficial to offer.
"When we stop doubting, we start believing in our new life. We behave as if it's possible - and we ultimately become it."
--- Dr Joe Dispenza ---
Our thoughts are fundamental drivers of our experience and even something as simple as a nagging pain, can be completely resolved by identifying and changing our thoughts and emotions. Everything is Cause and Effect.
